This six hour class provides real solutions for the unarmed person who may encounter an active shooter situation.
It augments the current philosophies of “Run, Hide, Fight”. The class will include a realistic look at the capabilities of firearms, particularly AR type rifles and the criminals who utilize them.
• The class includes a live-fire range session for understanding what an effective barrier is and what actually stops a bullet. It also includes a segment on the function of firearms, how their effectiveness can be reduced and how they can be even rendered temporarily inoperative.
• The class includes a real-world scenario for running, hiding and fighting.
• The class culminates with a blood flow control session for treating puncture wounds and traumatic injuries.
This is not a class for armed person, but a class for the unarmed. Students will not be shooting but will learn the basics of firearms, from the Active Shooter Response perspective.
By attending this class you will have a better understanding of how to make appropriate decisions and responses during these events.
