This is the new NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting Course which introduces the student to the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for owning and using a pistol safely. Through this course, the students will learn about pistol parts (nomenclature) and operation, ammunition, gun safety, and pistol shooting activities. The Basic Pistol Course will also help prepare the students for participation in other NRA courses. You must register and perform the Phase I online material through the NRA website, and then attend the range portion of the course which is Phase II, conducted at the TTC. The TTC will provide rental handguns and all other necessary range equipment.
