DEFENSIVE HANDGUN 210 – This is an intermediate class for the handgun user. Here, the user will continue developing a skill set based upon the foundation in TTC Handgun 101 for efficiently operating and accurately firing a handgun. The class will also consist of delivering accurate shots in a timely manner, presentation of the handgun to the target, clearing malfunctions, beginning self-defense considerations. The primary method of instruction will be demonstration and coaching during live-fire and dry-fire shooting drills. If you have taken TTC handgun 101 and want to continue to develop your handgun skills, this is the course to take. Introduction to drawing from a holster will be taught in the last session. Shooters must provide their own handgun. Mandatory eye/ear protection, at LEAST three magazines, crew neck shirt, and 350-500 rounds of ammo. A duty type holster is necessary for the last session. Three, two and half hour sessions. Prerequisite, NRA Basic Pistol, TTC Basic Handgun 101, other applicable basic course.

TTC BASIC HANDGUN 101 – This is an introduction to the Basic Function, Operation and Maintenance for the new handgun owner/user. This course provides the new handgun user with basic information of how handguns function, ballistic information, how they are safely and effectively operated, how they are maintained, and legal issues. The Course will include classroom demonstration, student interaction, active participation, and basic handgun handling. Each student will be assessed and given additional advice and supplied with drills on how to maintain their newly acquired skills. As a result, the new handgun user will be better informed and trained on how to properly select a firearm and use a handgun that meets their present needs. Two sessions, two – three hours each in duration. Includes handgun rentals, ammunition, targets and Eye/Ear protection.
